(7-19-2008) DARWIN, NT – The gloves were off in the Bray camp when Victor and Ben Bray starred in a series of match races in the Southern Cross Television Night of Thunder at Hidden Valley Dragway Saturday night.

Following on from his dominant win at the Castrol EDGE Winternationals at Willowbank, Ben took out the six-car, three-round event in front of a huge and appreciative crowd, along the way resetting both ends of the track record with a ET 6.620sec and top speed of 214.29mph in his first ever time in his Castrol EDGE Monaro at the Hidden Valley strip.

Up against the might of Vic's '57 Chev and Ben's Monaro CV8Z were local heroes Mat Abel, Jay Henning, Laura Kuss, and Trevor Webber.

For Victor, the visit to Hidden Valley brought back memories of his Wild Bunch days.

<img src="http://i239.photobucket.com/albums/ff53/outlawpms/HVD1.jpg" align="left" borders="0" width="275" height="197"> "We really enjoyed putting on a show for the Northern Territory fans; I was looking forward to getting bragging rights back on the home front but it looks like I will have to listen to Benny bleat on for another month or so yet. With the plans the club have for the upgrades to the track thanks to the financial input from the Rudd Government a round of the Top Doorslammer championship would not be out of the question after the work is completed" Victor said.

When Team Bray transporter returns to their Brisbane base they will start on a complete rebuild their race cars to get ready for the very fast approaching new season.

The next outing for Team Bray will be for Benny and his MR-1200 ute at the Castrol EDGE Jamboree on August the 23rd and 24th.
