I hope for Raymonds sake that they (NHRA), find the time with an even shorter schedule to allow ProMod the opportunity to run a second round of qualifying.

Big first round upset...... #16 Joe Baker upsets #1 Mike Ashley. By no means a pretty run, Baker runs a 6.41 @ 229mph, Ashleys car made a move and rattled the tires. Jay Payne ran the lone 5 of the round...... a 5.996 @ 232.

So..... I was on the phone last night with Gainseville...... Ray is ok and the car is fine, other than a light brush with the wall on the right rear corner. Apparently the slight rub of the wall occured 10 feet from the finish line.

I don't think anyone with a black primer car HASN'T hit the wall in the car's first year. :( Seems like it's usually the right side, too?
