didnt he used to abuse small block chevys in the 70's or was it the early 80's?;)
He abused the heck out of them in the '70's and '80's in Modified and Comp. I remember the sound of an SBC leaving the line at 12,500! :D
Coleman built his Corvette to run in multiple Gas and Altered classes. With as many as six classes to chose from it was a matter of looking up which index was the softest and adding or subtacting weight. A little shoe polish took care of the class designation.
Eastex Dragway used to have semi-monthly class racing. I remember Coleman winning his share when he came to town. :cool:
