Besides competing in a match race against Pete Farber with his Firebird, John Russo was also driving a Dan Page-built Chevy S-10 pick up owned by Tom Zarella at New England Dragway's Night Of Thrills. John drove that truck on a 6.117 236 mph pass which I believe to be the quickest and fastest Pro Mod truck run ever.

Someone please correct me if I'm wrong.

Here's a photo of it by Denis LeBlanc of Action Racing Photos (www.actionracingphotos.com).

Do any of you truck guys know any other pick up that's been quicker or faster? How about it Steve wheeler, do you keep up with such things?

Where's JD St. Cyr when you need him?

Was this recent? I was wondering what John Russo was up to. Umm, the only other person i can think of is Fast Freddy, how quick/fast has he been?

Glen May and Joe Delehay never went that quick or fast with their trucks...who else runs/has ran trucks?

This was last night, Steven.

The quickest Fast Freddy has run is 6.253 at 228.30 that I know of. I could be wrong about that.

Well I asked JD about it and he seems to think no one else has gone that quick either.

I am not so sure about quickest and fastest ever, BUT (and I admit to being prejudiced) it was one of the coolest ones "Back in the day"!!!!
