Pro Slammers signs Scrappers Racing as series title sponsor
(2-28-2012) SAN JOSE, CA – The Pro Slammers Door Car Association is pleased to announce that the NHRA Top Fuel team, Scrappers Racing, has inked a multi-year deal to be the title sponsor for PSDCA’S drag racing series.
The San Jose, California-based team is owned by Mike Salinas, a veteran nostalgia drag racer, who has driven in a number of highly competitive classes.
In July 2011, Salinas made his debut in NHRA’s Top Fuel Dragster class during the running of the Fram Nationals held at Infineon Raceway in Sonoma, California. Mike’s dragster is a stunning beauty draped in orange with red and blue flames; a real eye- catcher. It has also proved to be as fast as it is handsome.
Last October at the Big O Tires Nationals contested at Las Vegas Raceway, Mike wheeled his slick racer to a 3.965-310.27 run.
