Third time is the charm for Black Diamond Motorsports at Ohio Drags VI
(9-29-2012) NORWALK, OH – After two tire rattling sessions Black Diamond Motorsports' John DeFlorian and Kevin Bealko qualified sixth and thirteenth in the third and last qualifying session of Extreme Pro Stock (XPS) for Friday at the American Drag Racing League (ADRL) Summit Racing Equipment Ohio Drags VI Extreme Pro Stock presented by Mickey Thompson held at Summit Motorsports Park.
With one qualifying session left in the super-tight field that is already the second-quickest in XPS history with only .067 seconds separating the sixteen car field, DeFlorian and Bealko look to improve their qualifying positions with the weather conditions predicted to be about the same as the third session.
Crew Chief Carl Trader looks to tune both Sonny’s Racing Engines in the Jerry Haas built 2012 Camaro and 2011 GXP with an elimination set-up but with the weather conditions predicted to be better than when DeFlorian reset the ADRL record to 4.018 seconds elapsed time at 179.92 miles per hour you never know what can happen.
