That's funny. Oh, how the winds of change have blown through Fastdoorslammers.com. Now Nick is the ADRL advocate around here? What kind of bizarro world is this?

I just don't think the ADRL needs the old enormous crowds to remain viable. I don't know if it will survive, but I don't think it's dead in the water based on pictures from one race.

FastDoorslammers didn't change, Gino. ADRL did.

Car counts and spectator attendance aren't down everywhere.

I didn't see any of the webcast. I assumed it would be well produced with plenty of sponsor spots. I also wasn't aware that the MavTV deal was history.

Once again, no Kool Aid here. Just objective eyes and ears. You might need to get the wood out of your ear if you know what I mean. I hear sour grapewood can cloud your judgement.

Oh, about that wager. I never took you up on it but remember how close I came to being spot on?
You assumed wrong. NO sponsor spots in the web telecast. One camera done by Ron Popeil, set it and forget it. Live feed was a joke compared to years past. The ADRL over promised and under delivered by a long shot. ZERO sponsor exposure on the live feed and because no TV deal ZERO sponsor exposure there too. That's 2 strikes. The ONLY sponsor exposure is at the race itself. 1000 people in the stands will not support this series.

You're not being objective. Objective is Fans = Sponsors, sponsors = series. No fans = no series.

Close but no cigar. Care to make a wager now?

ADRL has partnered with O’Reilly Auto Parts to offer $10.00 advance tickets at their stores in the Bristol area. They plan to do this for select ADRL races the rest of this season.

The bottom line for me is that Danny and I both had a good time. We brought folks with us who had never been to an ADRL race. They had a good time too and they'll tell others. That's how you build a fan base.
