Houston Outlaw Racing is gearing up for "Texas Vs. The World"
(3-14-2012) CLUTE, TX – The High Velocity Impact Racers are gearing up to roll into Dallas Raceway, (Under the new management of Ken and Molly Hall), in Crandall, Texas so get ready to see another great race!
We look forward to racing our teams at a different facility this season and we are excited to be invited there.
The Outlaw True Tens are fast cars on small tires. These cars are running on the ragged edge of "Traction vs. Disaster", these cars create Toe curling, Bone chilling excitement. In addition to the Outlaw True Tens, we have Funny Cars, Pro Mods, Automatic Pro Mods, Pro Stock, True Street, Back Halves, Index Racing and JR Dragsters to insure we have something for everyone who enjoys Heads Up Racing.
Our Texas Vs. the World race on June 8th & 9th, 2012 will include a Gamblers race on Friday night June 8th for the Outlaws. This race will be a $500.00 Entry Fee, "Winner take all". We will also have a Gamblers Race for Radial 275 or 28/10's on Friday night with an entry fee of 200.00 winner take all. This should create quite a bit of excitement before the big race on Saturday. Some of the best of the best of these cars from across the country will take a shot at each other prior to competing in a large field of cars on Saturday June 9th. Some might say a race like this prior to a big race takes GutZ or you have to be NutZ! There is much risk to breaking something, i.e. Engine, Transmission etc. etc. after a long haul when you run balls to the wall the night before a big race.
Mark Jenkins out of Texas won the Saturday night race at Texas Vs. the World last year after rolling in late on an open trailer and going rounds and continuously being the underdog, Mark said let everyone know that he has greased the wheel bearings on the trailer and the car is still sitting on jackstands from last year but he plans to take a shot at the Gamblers race this year and he confident that he will be going rounds. He said he just hopes that everyone has plenty of fuel in their generators since he will be sending them back to their rigs early in the evening.
We will also have the Pro Mods joining us this season at the "Texas Vs. the World" in a Gamblers race on Saturday June 9th. There will be two different classes of Pro Mod, one will be Outlaw Pro Mods and the Other will be Automatic Pro Mods. We will run the top qualified fields (8 or 16 or 32 X $500.00 depending on how many show up) and a non-qualified Jackpot race with the additional fees. The entry fee for this race is $500.00 with payout being a 70/30 split. These monsters are the fastest door slammers in heads-up racing. The track will be buzzing with excitement as these cars unload and get ready for a Wild and Exciting heads up race.
We will keep you posted as more information about this race unfolds but I think it will be the race of the season and its sure to keep everyone on the edge of their seats.
