Dixie Racing Association adds 14-71 superchargers to the mix
(6-27-2012) ATLANTA, GA – The Dixie Racing Association prides itself on a tradition of close side-by-side heads up Pro Modified drag racing. After much consideration and conversation with members, there has been a decision made regarding the competition allowances of The Dixie Racing Association. Historically, The Dixie Racing Association members make adjustments to their rules and allowances during the Association’s annual awards banquet and meeting however, a need has arisen for an in-season adjustment to the rules.
The rules amendment will allow 14-71 supercharged competitors into Dixie competition, a move that will hopefully continue our tradition of great side by side drag racing. Initially, there will be no weight requirement or generic ruling made to limit any of the allowed combinations potential of performance (ex.; blower OD, stages of nitrous, number or size of turbo or CID). With traditions of parity in competition being of the utmost importance to the association members, there will be a balancing in the future if needed.
