Qualifying is finally complete after a long day here at Mission Raceway but WOW what a final qualifying session the 3rd session was. The dew was starting to set in and the corrected air was only a little over 500 feet. Nickelson improved with a career best pass and also went 3.85/202 to the 1/8th, Burbage picked up 2-hundreths, and Maggio ran a 5.87 but didnt improve on his .82 in the 2nd round.

Here is the final qualifying order and first round pairings. We begin eliminations at 12 (noon) tomorrow.

1) Maggio - 5.826 @ 253.73
2) Nickelson - 5.890 @ 229.29
3) Burbage - 6.022 @ 239.36
4) Syverson - 6.337 @ 226.75
5) Delehay - 6.445 @ 223.26

The first round of elimination's is complete. The track is hot and the racers were getting greedy. Delehay wins with his best ET of the weekend with a 6.18. Maggio goes 5.90 on a single. Burbage goes .004 red handing the win to Sjostrom and Nickelson contacted the wall after blowing the tires off around 60'. Dan is okay which is the most important part.

Also, congratulations to Mike Maggio and the Maggio Motorsports team on picking up the RBS Superchargers low qualifier bonus award! Their string of 5-second passes with the best being a 5.82 in the 2nd qualifying session placed them number 1 and they take home the bonus from RBS here at Mission Raceway Park!

The final round is wrapped up and we are done for the weekend here at Mission Raceway. The Maggio Motorsports team ran the table this weekend and took home the win over Wade Sjostrum.

To top off a great weekend of racing, Mission Raceway has asked us to come back next year on the July 5-7 weekend. Mark it on your calenders!
