Brian Teachman: A star on the rise
(9-27-2012) VIRGINIA BEACH, VA – When team owner Jim Teachman had his '70.5 Camaro built by Virginia Speed Race Cars he had a vision of racing with the best of the best and winning races. Last year Jim laid the foundation for a successful racing season in 2012. After purchasing a new Pat Musi powerplant the Teachman racing team has had a stellar year in 2012.
Brian Teachman ended the 2011 season winning the King of the Beach at Colonial Beach Dragway with the '57 Gotham City Chevy. They then switched focus to the Camaro and started the year with a win at the prestigious Big Dog series at Piedmont, followed that up with a win at Coastal Pains Dragway with the Extreme Outlaw Pro Mod Series. Then last Wednesday night (Sep 19th) Brian won the Last Man Standing race at Maryland International Raceway. The Teachman team will next heads back to the Home of the EOPM, Dunn-Benson Dragstrip where they go to the finals.
“I’m so very proud of my son Brian, he is one of the young guns in Outlaw Pro Mod racing. He is also one of the best leavers in Pro Mod racing,” said Jim Teachman. This year at Virginia Motorsports Park, Jim’s dream was fulfilled with 2 consecutive 3 second passes.
“We have worked so hard to get to this point with our racing program; to see our car perform at this level is like a dream come true. We are now racing with the best of the best and we know we can beat the best of the best,” said Jim.
“We are so thankful to Pat Musi Racing Engines, Joe Lepone, Extreme Starting Systems, Virginia Speed Race Cars, my family, friends and all of our race fans.” Teachman Racing has had a very successful 2012 racing season.
We also would like to thank all of our sponsors, racers, tracks and race fans for making the EOPM what it is today! The Best of the Best in Outlaw Pro Mod Racing!
