EOPM makes a statement at VMP

(10-8-2012) DINWIDDIE, VA – Extreme Outlaw Pro Mod (EOPM) was back in action this weekend at Virginia Motorsports Park. The EOPM had eighteen cars on the premises, with two of their entries breaking during a test session on Friday. With Sixteen entries were ready again to battle for eight spots.

With Pro Mod racers such as Randy Weatherford, Todd Tutterow, Steve Vick, Greg Godwin, Chris Rini, Steve Cossis, Tommy Franklin, Jason Harris, Todd Howard, Jeff Blasi, Brian Teachman, Danny Perry, Jon Bartunek, Wayne Chambers, and newcomer Fredy Scriba on hand the EOPM knew we were going to have a great show. “What a great group of the Best of the Best,” said Logan Paul (EOPM Facebook Manager). “This race is going to be something to be a part of.”

After 3 rounds of qualifying: #1 - Randy Weatherford, in his '69 Jerry Bickel Camaro with a 3.869 @ 194.77; #2 - Todd Tutterow, in his blown '69 Tim McAmis Camaro, with a 3.869 @ 189.84; #3 - Jason Harris, in his RHM Warbird with 3.875 @ 192.41; #4 - Greg Godwin, in his Tommy Mauney Corvette with a 3.878 @ 191.02; #5 - Fredy Scriba, in his '63 Corvette with a 3.881 @ 190.97; #6 - Chris Rini, in his '69 Jerry Bickel Camaro with a 3.898 @ 191.02; #7 - Todd Howard, in his 2008 Jerry Haas Mustang with a 3.933 @ 190.65; #8 - Jon Bartunek, in his ''68 Jerry Haas Camaro with a 3.944 @ 188.10. This was a record low bump spot for the EOPM, a 3.94! Wow!!

”We have the best of the best racing with us. I’m so proud of all of these guys,” said EOPM Race Director Stuart Williams.

In the first round of eliminations it would be Randy Weatherford over Jon Bartunek, Steve Vick (alternate) over Greg Godwin, (Fredy Scriba broke). Todd Howard over Todd Tutterow, and Jason Harris over Chris Rini. In the second round of eliminations, it was Randy Weatherford over Steve Vick, Jason Harris over Todd Howard. In the finals it would be Randy Weatherford over Jason Harris, (the winner of the last race at VMP).
