Quick 8 Outlaws - Kinston Dragstrip 4/11/2009

Mid-70's temperatures and overcast skies greeted the large crowd at Kinston Dragstrip today. There's 15 Quick 8 Outlaws, the world's fastest automatic Pro Mods, entered and should put on quite the show. The first round of qualifying is scheduled for 2:45 local time or about 45 mins. from now.

After round 2 of qualifying there are no major updates. Herman Sheppard backs up the 4.055 with a 4.08 at 178. Dennis Jordan had a hard launch and was on a pass, the left front tire never touched the ground...until...the transmission broke. Dewayne Silance was also on a pass and was wheels up but the car was driving to the left hand gaurd wall. Next qualifying pass will be at about 5:30.
