Remember last year when that basebal pitcher showed up on the mound with a red stain on his sock leading many to believe he was playing hurt? Later someone suggested it was packet of ketchup. This is what I think of when I see someone cover their engine with a blanket when the TV crew is around. First of all, whoever built the intake and carb on that engine deserves the recognition and advertising in my book. Secondly, how much info are the other PS crews really going to glean from looking at the outside of a carb, intake or heads? I don't know a lot about the PS engines so I'm just curious is someone more familiar can explain. I believe tuning every single engine is different (even in PS) meaning Shannon Jenkins could give me his top secret nitrous tuneup info and it wouldn't do me a darn bit of good on my setup.

Anyone shed some light?

By looking at the manifold and runners you get a good indication of port positioning.

If the manifold fabricator or carb maker has a sponsorship deal with the racer or offers a contingency deal then most will display their company sticker.

Thanks for the insight Kirk! I'm glad nobody in promod and pro street (that I'm aware of) has resorted to this yet. But the minute Frank Tamez starts covering up with a blanket we're all in trouble! haha

See you in Vegas!

When you start seeing blower cars re-stamping the blower pulleys, then you can start to worry Yvonne. We cant possibly run faster than a nitrous car, can we?

Hmmm. I seem to recall a California guy who makes his own supercharger cases and gear drives as well as cylinder heads and other items. I think he's friends with some guy down in Australia, John Zappia or something.
