Everett wins Pro Outlaw Doorslammers season opener at KDS Motorsports
(4-30-2008) KINSTON, NC – The Pro Outlaw Doorslammers opened their season at Kinston Dragway, April 26th. After 3 good rounds of qualifying, Jason Rouse was the #1 qualifier with a 4.33, with Ernie Everett being in the last spot with a 4.74 after having to pedal the car several times. Once the elimination rounds started, the Ernie Everett show began.
In the first round Ernie E. would bring his black '63 Corvette to line up against Marc Hayes in his 2003 Fulton powered Cavalier. Ernie would run a 4.48 to Marc's losing 4.51. The second round would see Ernie face off against Assault Team member Matt Suite in his 1995 Buck powered Olds Cutlass who had clocked a 4.35
in the previous round. Ernie would run a 4.47 to Matt's losing 4.76.
In the semi-final round Ernie had a bye round which would put him in the final against the #1 qualifier, Jason Rouse. The final would be a battle between '63 Corvettes. Jason left early, giving the Pro Outlaw Doorslammers season opener win to Ernie Everett.
